Shannon River Crest Hospital has a 24-hour, seven-day a week crisis intervention, mental health assessment, referral and admission service. We accept walk-ins; however, we encourage calling for appointments because that enables us to start gathering information in order to make the most of our assessment time together.

The admissions department is comprised of therapists, nurses and call specialists. We provide confidential mental health assessments and consultation for psychiatric, behavioral, emotional and chemical dependency problems.

Intake assessments are reviewed with a psychiatrist, who determines the level of medically necessary care based on the most recent developments. Following the assessment, the Assessment Center staff will make referrals for outpatient or hospitalization based on individual treatment needs.

Prior to admission, we ask that you print and complete our medical release form.
