Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric

River Crest Hospital provides crisis stabilization services for adolescents ages 13–17 who require psychiatric care in a secure setting. This short-term treatment is intensive and therapeutically focused, aimed at moving patients from the inpatient setting to day treatment and/or outpatient settings as quickly as possible.

The overall goal of this program is to achieve a level of reintegration or stabilization as rapidly as possible. The inpatient program is structured to promote the maximum cognitive, social, behavioral and emotional development in each patient while providing an atmosphere of respect and compassion for each individual.

Each patient is evaluated and treated by a multidisciplinary treatment team. All therapies concentrate on specific strengths and weaknesses of each patient, and are designed to promote feelings of increased self-worth and self-control.
