Detox and Rehab Program

Withdrawal from long-term addiction to alcohol and/or drugs can cause severe, even fatal, health problems. River Crest Hospital provides medical supervision of detoxification for adults ages 18 and older.
Detoxification is not a treatment for addiction; it is a first step in addressing the problem. Following detoxification, treatment focuses on helping patients break through the “wall of denial” common to people with substance abuse issues. Emphasis is placed on helping patients identify and correct addictive behavior patterns in their lives.

Addiction recovery treatment includes group and family therapy, education and active participation in self-help groups. Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held every night at River Crest.
River Crest Hospital recognizes the struggles involved with addiction recovery and can help with every step of the treatment process, beginning with detox. The detox treatment program at our treatment facility is available for adults ages 18 and older.

The Adult Medical Detoxification program provides 24-hour observation and coordinated treatment by a physician-led team of mental health professionals to help patients to withdraw from drug and alcohol dependence. Detoxification is an inpatient program that usually lasts from three to five days. An inpatient rehabilitation program is also offered once detoxification is complete.

The program is highly structured for adults over the age of 18 with a need for medically supervised detoxification or for a recovery program. Inpatient services are intended to be brief with the goal of stepping the patient down to a less restrictive level of care for continued rehabilitation as soon as medically indicated.

The Disease Concept Model and 12-step involvement are emphasized throughout our inpatient addiction treatment programs. The multidisciplinary treatment team is led by a psychiatrist and includes a certified alcohol and drug counselor, social worker, nurse and activity therapist. The treatment is individualized and guided by a tailored treatment plan that addresses specific needs.
